Who are the RubberNetwork Equity Member Companies?

The RubberNetwork Member Companies are Continental, Cooper, Goodyear, Hankook, Kumho, Michelin, Pirelli, Sumitomo, Toyo, and Yokohama. Five of RubberNetwork's Members are headquartered in Asia, three in Europe, and two in North America. Their manufacturing, research, and retail reach is truly worldwide, and the RubberNetwork organization reflects and supports them globally.

Where is RubberNetwork located?

RubberNetwork currently has offices in Amsterdam, Atlanta, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. We also have personnel located on a full-time basis at five customer locations in North America and Europe (Akron and Findlay Ohio, Greenville S.C. and Charlotte N.C. in the US and Milan Italy in Europe.)

How is RubberNetwork Governed?

RubberNetwork is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) governed by its ten-member Board of Managers. Each Equity Member appoints a primary and an alternate Board Member, and the CEO of RubberNetwork serves as the Chairman of the Board. The Board meets three to four times a year, alternating meetings between Europe, North America, and Asia. Board Members generally are the highest-ranking purchasing executives in the individual Equity Member organizations.

Who is eligible for RubberNetwork Membership?

Membership in RubberNetwork is at the invitation of the RubberNetwork Board of Managers. Historically global leaders in the Tire and Rubber industry have been the logical candidates for Equity Membership in RubberNetwork and that remains the case today. However, we are open to the possibility of Equity Membership for industry leaders in related industries with similar characteristics (for example from the Automotive Supply or Plastics Industries.)

What is an Equity Membership of RubberNetwork?

RubberNetwork Equity Members own various percentages of equity in RubberNetwork, generally determined by their annual turnover (operating revenue). Members purchase their equity and pay an annual subscription fee for RubberNetwork services.

How do RubberNetwork Members measure the value of membership?

RubberNetwork’s Directors agree on annual Metrics and Milestones to measure the value of individual services and progress against approved plans.

Are there opportunities to use RubberNetwork services if I am not an Equity Member?

Yes. RubberNetwork currently works with several companies outside of the Tire and Rubber Industry which utilize our resources in a traditional commercial arrangement (Fee for Service).
